Contagion shows local infectious-disease and environmental conditions — COVID, flu, and RSV wastewater activity, respiratory pressure, emerging pathogen detections, notifiable diseases, air quality, UV, weather hazards, and nearby earthquakes — framed like a weather app. It's for general awareness and education, using free public data from the U.S. CDC, Open-Meteo, USGS, and the National Weather Service.
Why does a metric say “No data”? Some feeds are state-level and seasonal — for example, respiratory activity is often “Very Low” nationwide in summer, and some emerging-pathogen or hazard feeds have nothing to report for your area right now. That's expected.
How do I change location? Tap the map-pin in the top bar to pick any U.S. state, or choose “Use my location.” Disease data is state-level; air quality, UV, and earthquakes are for your specific point.
Is this medical advice? No. Contagion is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat. Always consult a clinician or official public-health guidance.
